SUSAN BROWN

Susan Brown regularly advises and conducts internal investigations for Fortune 500 companies, major academic institutions, and nonprofits. Susan has investigated claims of sex- and race-based harassment and discrimination, assault, retaliation, conflicts of interest, breaches of fiduciary duty, anti-competitive conduct, bullying, embezzlement, and fraud.

Susan also has over a decade of experience in complex commercial litigation. Susan’s work in this area includes financial services, fraud, and class actions. Her practice has focused on financial services litigation, including investment fraud and consumer financial services litigation. In December of 2020, Susan was selected to be a Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) arbitrator.

Susan is licensed to practice in both California and Ontario, Canada, and she is an Association of Workplace Investigators Certificate Holder (AWI-CH).

Prior to law school, Susan worked as a senior policy advisor with the Ontario Attorney General. She received her juris doctor from Canada’s top-ranked law school, the University of Toronto Faculty of Law, in 2009, and went on to practice with the Silicon Valley offices of Robins Kaplan LLP and Paliare Roland Rosenberg Rothstein LLP in Toronto, Canada.
